As of Wednesday, May 30, the Prairie County Sheriff's Department currently has 43 individuals in custody on both felony and/or misdemeanor charges at the Prairie County Detention Center, located in Des Arc.

Recent additions include -- two females for misdemeanor, one female on a felony, zero male on felonies and one male for misdemeanor -- charges. 

Recent arrests include:

• Ashlie R. Turner was arrested on delivery of methamphetamine/cocaine, use of a communication device, unlawful use of a communication device, simultaneous possession of drugs, maintaining a drug premises, possession of a controlled substance with intent, possession of a controlled substance with intent, theft by receiving, possession of a controlled substance with intent, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance;
• Melissa Barbee was arrested on a felony petition to revoke probation; 
• Shania Ward was arrested on a failure to appear warrant, which is a misdemeanor; and 
• Mark Alexander was arrested on a failure to appear warrant, which is a misdemeanor.
